Inhalt/e

Automated Content Generation - Robot Journalism, Bots and Crowdsourcing

Automation affects many areas of our (working) life. The fact that texts and other media content are generated automatically is still relatively new. In this course we will look at numerous examples and discuss the effects on content creation in different areas.

"Deep fakes" - based on AI - are a danger to the credibility of video content. Social bots on Twitter, for example, could influence elections. Furthermore, the course will deal with content aggregation (e.g. https://ifttt.com/ and RSS). As a further aspect, content generation via crowdsourcing will round off the course. At platforms such as www.mturk.com, different tasks can be distributed to a worldwide crowd of "online assembly line" workers.
