Im Fall von online durchgeführten Prüfungen sind die Standards zu beachten, die die technischen Geräte der Studierenden erfüllen müssen, um an diesen Prüfungen teilnehmen zu können.

Geänderte Prüfungsinformationen (COVID-19 Ausnahmeregelung)

Due to the regulations, this exercise class is currently held via BigBlueButton (the corresponding link can be found in the moodle course). The online class is held in the same time slots as originally planned. For participation students have to

  • select problems online as before
  • upload scans/photos of their solutions in moodle until 15 minutes before the beginning of the respective session. 
  • as before, students are chosen randomly to present their solution in class, i.e. in the BBB session; the previously uploaded can be used for the presentation
  • in case the live participation is not possible due to technical difficulties, students will be called via the telephone number given by their contact data on campus.aau.at; in this case students have to explain their solution to the course instructor and, subsequently, hand in a detailed written solution (including all explanations) which will be upoaded to moodle to provide a solution to the other participants

Beurteilungskriterien/-maßstäbe

  • 16 points may be obtained in total.
  • 12 of those points can be obtained by solving assignments ("Assignment points") and 4 by presenting solutions ("Presentation points").
  • It is required to obtain at least 6 assignment points; in that case,  total points translate into grades as follows:

    >= 8 Points
    Grade 4
    >= 10 Points
    Grade 3
    >= 12 Points
    Grade 2
    >= 14 Points
    Grade 1
  • There are 12 sessions of 115 minutes.
  • The assignments are handed out via Moodle a week before the session.
  • Assignment points:
    • Until 13:30 before the exercise class, you may select online any problem that you have completed. You have then indicated both your thorough understanding and your willingness to present any problem you have selected. When we are ready to discuss a given problem during class, the presenting student will be selected randomly.

    • For the assignment points, your best 11 sessions are counted. For each session, the number of points you receive equals (12/11) times the number of solved problems (as indicated by your selections) divided by the number of problems discussed in that session.

    • In case of honor code violation (e.g. selecting problems without showing up for class, selecting problems without having solved and understood it), all assignment points of the semester are multiplied by 3/4 (in geometric sequence in case of repeated violation) and/or all points of the corresponding session are deleted.
  • Presentation points:
    • Each presentation is worth 4 points; the arithmetic mean of these presentations yields the presentation points.
    • Points are awarded for correctness, clarity, brevity, originality, etc

  • Unregistration is possible until April 15. After this date, you will get a grade  in any case.
