Course content

Course content
Within the course "Introduction to SAP in Production Management" the students get into touch with the PPS component of the SAP ERP software. The lecturer presents a Make-To-Stock Process within discrete production. Together with the students application possibilities of the software in the area of production and logistics are discussed and exercised. The course is is not mainly theoretical. The students are working right next to the SAP system. As a result of this they learn about how PPS concepts are implemented in an IT system. The thematic priority is on the functions the PPS component provides to handle business processes in the area of production. Technical aspects of the software (customizing and programing) are left out of this course.
