Course Information
Intended learning outcomes
The class aims at illustrating the operating principles, the design methodologies, and the performance of electronic circuits for different applications.
Schedule:
If a course deadline has to be postponed, you will find the changed date for taking the course on the course map (Zeus).
The treatment of course appointments which deviate from the regular date is announced in the course units.
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
The course takes place every week. Before every other appointment an exercise sheet will be available through Moodle for the download.
The tasks set are to be prepared by the second following lecture.
Course content
• analyze qualitatively and quantitatively simple electrical circuits in steady-state and periodical regime;
• two-port networks analysis;
• transistors (Bipolar, FET) as amplifiers and related basic circuits;
• operational amplifiers and related basic circuits;
• analog filters: analysis and design;
• signal generators;
• voltage regulators;
• analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters;
• oscillator circuits.
Prior knowledge expected
Mathematics Basics, complex numbers, electrical technology basic knowledge (Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff … ). These prior knowledges are covered e.g. by EPGI.
