Course content

Der  Kurs ist einer von zwei Vertiefungskursen für das gebundene Wahlfach Dienstleistungsmanagement. Der Kurs ist inhaltlich markt-/kundenorientiert und an der Schnittstelle zwischen dem Dienstleistungsmanagement und dem  Internationalem Management angesiedelt. Dieser Hybrid-Charakter erlaubt es  hervorragend zwei Themengebiete miteinander zuverknüpfen und hoffentlich auch  einen interdisziplinären Austausch unter den Studierenden zu fördern  (Studierende des Master Internationalen Managements nehmen auch an diesem  Kurs teil). Die Studierenden analysieren den Standardisierungs- bzw.  Differenzierungsgrad eines global tätigen Dienstleistungsunternehmens.  Konkret analysieren die Studierenden Starbucks und die Themengebiete des  marktorientierten Dienstleistungsmanagements (7P's).


This  course is one of two in depth courses for the elective subject (gebundenes  Wahlfach) Service Management. This course‘s content is market-oriented and a  mixture between Service Management and International Management. This hybrid  character allows for an excellent combination of two subjects and it will  hopefully promote an interdisciplinary exchange amongst students (students  from the Master International Management will also attend this class).
Students analyze the degree of standardization / differentation for a  global service firm. In particular, course participants investigate Starbucks  and its marked based service strategy in terms of the 7Ps: Place, Price,  Promotion, People, Process, Physical Environment, Product.
