Course content

The course will provide a cosmopolitical view to the daily life in global operating companies in Carinthia and examine how intercultural/transcultural aspects are handled within diversity management in those companies. Expats and their situation after relocation will be discussed. For companies cultural diversity is crucial as heterogeneous teams are the normality.

Teaching objective

Participants will learn about the implementation of intercultural tools in diversity management in companies and are expected to understand the differences of transcultural, intercultural, pluralicultural and multicultural approaches. Locomotion records and biographies will give an insight into the situation of Expats. Group discussion will focus on the advantages of Intercultural diversity.
