Course Information

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

In its structure, the course is project based. On the one hand, students will be asked to assume the role of teacher when they try out projects of their own choice. On the other hand, the projects introduced by the course tutor will be further developed in a joint effort.

Course content

The aim of this course is to introduce students to learner-oriented and process-based approaches to intercultural learning in an EFL-context. What I mean by learner-orientation is that all teacher mediation should be related to the actual learning needs and interests of the learners. Process-orientation implies that the learners should be encouraged to become involved in a learning process permitting continuous development of their abilities to establish and maintain forms of intercultural dialogue.

Im Fall von online durchgeführten Prüfungen sind die Standards zu beachten, die die technischen Geräte der Studierenden erfüllen müssen, um an diesen Prüfungen teilnehmen zu können.

Assessment criteria / Standards of assessment for examinations

1. Active participation & regular attendance. 2. Development of two projects to be presented to the other students in class. 3. An written exam at the end of the semester.
