At the end of this course you should be able to write a coherent and cohesive academic essay.

Lehrmethodik inkl. Einsatz von eLearning-Tools

Lecturer input, small and whole group discussion.

Inhalt/e

This course introduces the fundamentals of essay-writing and includes: brainstorming, organising and evaluating your ideas; making an outline;composing a thesis statement;essay structure;expressing facts and opinions;making comparisons and contrasts; describing problems and solutions;achieving coherence; adopting acceptable academic style.

Successful completion of course Writing 1.
