LV-Beschreibung

Intendierte Lernergebnisse

Detailed instructions on how this class is going to function are going to be provided by your lecturers.

Please check the course description, Discord, Moodle, and  AAU inboxes regularly for updates.

Students completing this class will be familiar with important terminology/tools in practical game engineering and will be able to apply this knowledge to practical design processes. Personal skills will be honed. The advantages of organized teamwork will be underlined as well.

Lehrmethodik

A large part of the course is held as a game jam, where we expect you to participate actively! Digital and on-campus get-togethers are the tools of communication throughout this period.

"Mini game jams" will be organized as part of the lecture dates.

Inhalt/e

Converting ideas into games that people want to play is one of the hardest and most demanding tasks in the development cycle.

This course introduces students to the craft of designing computer and video games through a game jam, which will be held on campus and partially online. Within 48 hours: create, test, and talk. From an idea to a playable prototype.
