Students understand and can apply key concepts of international trade and international monetary economics. Successful completion of this class allows appropriate assessment of relevant policy developments such as Brexit, economic (dis)integration and protectionism.
Lehrmethodik
Lecture along the textbook by Krugman/Obstfeld/Melitz.
Additional topical material from the Financial Times and The Economist will be provided to highlight the practical relevance of the subject.
Inhalt/e
Theory and policy of real and monetary international economics.

Good understanding of key concepts of economics.

There will be two dates on which the exam can be taken.
The exam consists of 15x4 statements which have to be assessed as either true or false. For passing a score of at least 42 is required.
