Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

This course provides methods and basic circuits for the design of electroniccircuits for various application areas. Therefore, circuit engineering dealswith all aspects of signal processing on a fundamental level.

Teaching methodology

There are weekly presentations in moderately sized groups to facilitate effective communication, supplemented by content accessible on the corresponding Moodle platform.

Course content

  • Complex alternating current calculation (linear networks in steady state)
  • Linear quadripoles
  • Transistor (Bipolar, FET) as amplifier
  • Basic circuits with several transistors
  • Operational amplifier and OPV basic circuits
  • Analog filters: analysis and design
  • Signal generators
  • Voltage regulators
  • AD and DA converters
  • Oscillator circuits
