Course Information
Intended learning outcomes
The lecture intends to create a basic understanding of the importance of entrepreneurship in established organizations. Companies are increasingly under pressure from their stakeholders. The ability to strategically renew organizations to adapt to changing conditions (e.g. customer preferences, legal requirements) ensures the organization's long-term survival. Thus, practicing corporate entrepreneurship and anchoring the organization's entrepreneurial orientation is crucial. The lecture focuses in particular on the changing framework conditions caused by digitalization.

Lecture with interactive elements.
Course content
This lecture is an introductory course and aims to create a basic understanding of the relevant contents. It combines organizational and individual level aspects that reveal the necessity, complexity, and potential of entrepreneurship initiatives in established organizations.
The contents discussed are:
M0: Basics of entrepreneurship
M1: Basics of corporate entrepreneurship
M2: Entrepreneurial orientation in established organizations
M3: Managing and performing explorative and exploitative tasks (ambidexterity)
M4: Entrepreneurial individuals (Intrapreneurship)
M5: Promoting individual entrepreneurial engagement
M6: Characteristics and establishment of an entrepreneurial organizational culture
M7: Cooperation between corporates and new and innovative ventures (start-ups)
M8: Basics of digitalization
M9: Digital entrepreneurship
M10: Digital leadership
Prior knowledge expected
None.
However, the completion of the lecture Entrepreneurship & Innovation (BUS 3) is recommended.

Examination methodology
Written exam using either the "Safe Examination Environment - SPU" (at the university) or ROPE (off campus).
Examination topic(s)
Lecture contents and listed literature. Question types include both closed (multiple choice, true/false etc.) and open questions.
