LV-Beschreibung
Intendierte Lernergebnisse
The teaching course intends to take up the relationship between economics and sociology by reading and discussing some selected pieces of classical relevance and of contemporary nature. The course intends to arrive at some exemplary instructions on how to treat reciprocal links and how to work in an interdisciplinary way, which tackles history, sociology, and economics at the very least. By doing this, the course hopes to serve as educational instruction for doing integrative and interdisciplinary science instead of recapitulating mono-disciplinary approaches.
Lehrmethodik
The selected pieces of literature must be regarded as starting points for further readings and research of interest.
Inhalt/e
We will start to initiate our knowledge and discussion with two books by Swiss economist Bruno Frey published in the 1990th. As a first take, we will try to compare our reading impressions and lessons of the two first articles in each of the two books.
