Inhalt/e
Students of this course learn how to work with theory in their research projects. Therefore, they are introduced to a selection of the most influential articles in innovation management. Drawing on these basic articles, the students then have to engage in theory building by writing a synopsis of 5-7 papers, and derive research questions out of their considerations. They need to be grounded in theory, clearly argued, justified regarding their importance, and to result in a clear research question.
Due to the increasing relevance of academic publications, students are introduced to the main tasks and decisions when planning and executing successful publication projects. In this part, students get to know about how to structure a compelling paper, and how to manage journal/conference selection and the review process. As part of this course, an internal”mini-conference“ is organized, in which the students learn about the process by taking the role of both the reviewers and the authors.
