Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

After completing the seminar, students should achieve the following goals (abilities):

[G1] a better understanding of topics addressed in the field of IME

[G2] a better understanding of research methods in the field of IME, especially of qualitative methods that are (often) applied in the master thesis

[G3] knowledge of how to design and write a scientific paper (such as a master's thesis)

[G4] ability to write an expose for the master thesis

Teaching methodology

Presentation and discussion of selected papers from the field of IME for the purpose of familiarization with the discipline --> [G1] [G2]

Bootcamp - Introduction to and training of "scientific writing" for the purpose of conceptualizing and writing an expose and (subsequently) a master thesis --> [G2] [G3] [G4]

Course content

Subject-related topics - Analysis of the selected research articles in the field of innovation management and entrepreneurship

Research methods in IME - Overview of scientific research methods in the discipline addressed 

Fundamentals of scientific writing - Introduction to scientific writing (e.g. structuring the paper, citation guidelines)

Literature

The literature used in the course will be available in Moodle.
