Lecture review of Global Mental Health research, role playing activities, and discussions.
Inhalt/e
Global Mental Health is an emerging field of research and practice that aims to improve treatments, increase access to services, and reduce human rights abuses of people experiencing mental disorders around the world.
This seminar provides an overview of the research topics concerning mental health from a global perspective:
- History of Global Mental Health
- Epidemiology of mental disorders
- Stigma and mental health
- Improving access to mental health care in low- and middle-income countries
- Mental Health and PsychoSocial Support interventions in humanitarian settings
- Cultural Psychology
- Gender-based violence
