Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

Obtain a broad understanding of current theoretical models and empirical findings in the area of health psychology.

Become knowledgable about current state-of-the-art health psychology interventions.

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

The focus of this course is to examine the complex interplay between physical health and psychosocial processes. The evidence for health psychological applications in the context of specific physical illnesses will be reviewed. In addition, empirically-supported behavioral interventions which improve psychological health, physical health, and life quality among patients coping with medical illnesses will be discussed.
