Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

-get feedback on research projects in linguistics

-guidance on M.A. thesis research and writing

-further develop research and analytical skills

Course content

The early thesis forum in linguistics is designed to provide support to students starting to work on their M.A. theses in linguistics. Participants will be able to discuss their research, engage in further reading and receive guidance on methodological issues.

Prior knowledge expected

Ideally participants are at the beginning of their MA thesis and have completed "Introduction to Thesis Writing and Research Methodologies"

Literature

-A guide to relevant literature will be discussed in the first sessions

-Some readings and other class material will be made available on Moodle
