Anmerkungen

Dear students, I can be contacted at stephen.doheny@aau.at should you have any queries that are not addressed in the following information.

Be it face to face or online, attendance at the first session (Monday 11th October 6pm, is compulsory, as the basics of the course will be presented, and important administrational “stuff” will be explained. Students can register for the course up until 23:59pm on the 3rd of October.

I intend to hold this course face to face at the university room: N.0.27 on Mondays from 6 to 8pm. If Corona figures rise again and we experience a 4th wave, I will adapt the course to a online course, via TEAMS. So. in order to facilitate a quick change to online learning, should we need to..... please download the Teams App to your PCs, laptops, smartphones etc if you are not already using the Teams App...

The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of various forms of prose, poetry and drama, as well as introducing students to the notion of text analysis. Students will become familiar with terminology and the historical development of storytelling and English literature.

We shall also become dab hands using the tools to interpret and analyze texts. Students will also be given a forum in which to develop their presentation skills, as each student will present a 15min Powerpoint on relevant literary terms.

Please be aware that I will on occasion use the full 2hrs to accommodate technical issues, presentations and workshops...
