Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

Students understand and are able to apply key concepts of international economics. 

Students can realistically assess potential impacts of recent policy developments such as Brexit, European (dis)integration and protectionism. 

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

Lecture along the textbook by Krugman/Obstfeld/Melitz. 

Additional topical material from the Financial Times and The Economist will be provided to highlight the practical relevance of the subject. 

Course content

Theory and policy of real and monetary international economics. 

Prior knowledge expected

Good understanding of key concepts of economics.
