Intended learning outcomes
Die Absolvent+Innen der Lehrveranstaltung
- kennen den grundsätzlichen Aufbau von Process Aware Information Systems,
- kennen die wichtigsten Einsatzbereiche von Business Process technologies,
- können Geschäftsprozesse modellieren und mittels WfMS umsetzen,
- kennen und verstehen die wichtigsten Basistechnologien für Process Aware Information Systems und
- kennen die wichtigste klassische und aktuelle wissenschaftliche Literatur im Bereich Business Processs management und Workflow Systems.

Course content
Die Lehrveranstaltung führt in die Bereiche Process Aware Information Systems und Business Process Management ein, zeigt die wichtigsten Modellierungstechniken und Architekturen von Prouessen und Workflows und führt dahin, mit Hilfe eines Workflow Management Systems kleinere Prozesse selbständig zu implementieren.

Intended learning outcomes
After this lecture students
- know the basic architecture of process aware information systems
- know the most important application areas of business process technologies
- are able to model business processes and implement workflows using a workflow management system
- know and understand the most impotatant basic technologies for process aware information systems
- know the most relevant classical and actual literature in the area.

Course content
The lecture introduces workflow systems, shows the most important modeling techniques and architectures of workflow systems and leads to the contruction of workflow applications using a workflow management system.
