Intended learning outcomes
Students will learn how to program wireless devices and create applications for WSNs.
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
Hands-on embedded programming
Course content
Wireless sensor networks (WSN) are system composed by spatially distributed devices that sense the environment (e.g. measure the temperature, humidity, etc.) and exchange information with each other over a wireless channel. The devices have usually severe limitations on battery capacity and computational power. Therefore, they require efficient algorithms with high duty cycling.
