Course Information
Course content
Sie umfassen u.a.:
Information Retrieval
Neuronale Netze
Clustering & Word Embeddings
Semantik
Korpuslinguistik
Course content
Computational Linguistics (CL) is a sub-discipline of the large field of 'artificial intelligence'. The primary task of CL-algorithms and tools is to convert unstructured text data into knowledge (structured data). In this course we will discuss topics that have not yet been addressed in the first part of this course held in the previous winter semester. These topics include:
information retrieval
neural networks
clustering & word embeddings
semantics
corpus linguistics
We will focus on statistical methods since they have become increasingly important in CL.
Prior knowledge expected
Participants of this follow-up course do not have to have attended the first part of the course in the previous semester. However, basic knowledge in formal methods (e.g. statistics), as they have been introduced in the first part of the course are required. (Participants of the follow-up course will also be provided with all course materials from the previous course as a reference.)
Examination information
Examination methodology
