Intended learning outcomes
Mit dem Abschluss dieser LV sollten Sie über grundlegende Kenntnisse in Informatischem Denken, der Medieninformatik, der spezifischen rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen und in Medien-und Kommunikationsethik verfügen.
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
Die Lehrveranstaltung wird in Kombination mit einem MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) abgehalten. Der gesamte Vorlesungsteil wird ausschließlich online durchgeführt, daher befinden sich auch alle Lehrveranstaltungsinhalte online (Moodle-Kurs).
Der Übungsteil erfolgt in Gruppen und wird mit 3 Präsenzterminen begleitet.

- Grundlagen in Computational Thinking / Informatisches Denken
- Rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen für den Einsatz digitaler Medien
- Nutzung und Wirkung digitaler Medien im Alltag inkl. ethischer Aspekte

With Completion of the course you will acquire a basic knowledge of Computational Thinking, Media and Information Technology, Ethics in Media and Communication as well as the special legal framework.
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools
The course will be given in combination with a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). The whole lecture part will be held online, therefore the whole content will be presented online via Moodle course.
The practical part will be presented in groups with 3 appointed days of physical presence.

- Basic knowledge of Media and Information Technology
- Basic knowledge in Computational Thinking
- Legal framework for use of digital media
- Use and effect of digital media in daily life including ethical aspects

Online-Moodle Test am Ende der LV und Mitarbeit und Leistung beim laufenden Gruppenprojekt
Examination topic(s)
Die Prüfungsinhalte bestehen aus einem theoretischen Teil (abgewickelt durch das Grazer iMooX System) und einem praktischen Teil, welcher am Standort individuell abgewickelt wird.
Assessment criteria / Standards of assessment for examinations
Note setzt sich aus 75% der Punkte aus der Gruppenarbeit und 25% der Punkte aus dem Online-Moodle-Test zusammen.

Examination methodology
At the end of the course an online Moodle test will be given, during the course your cooperation and performance at a group project is important

A theoretical part will be processed by iMooX system of Graz and a practical part will be processed by Klagenfurt University individually

75 % of the grade arise out of group work and 25 % out of online Moodle test
