Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

The aim of this pro-seminar is to show some of the most important interrelations and processes occurring in the interphase between the soil-, hydro- and bio- sphere as part of the ample width of physical geography.

At the end of this pro-seminar, students will be able to find and discuss worldwide news press and scientific literature on specific processes related to the above theme and present them to various audiences (from school students to peers).

Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

The learning method is based on reading key literature suggested by the lecturer, searching for news and discussions in class, presenting and creating didactical material. This will be completed with continuous guiding in class by the lecturer.

Course content

The seminar may cover the following themes:

  • soil science
  • ecohydrology
  • biogeography

The width of the content covered will be decided upon the number of students inscribed in the pro-seminar.
