Obtain a broad understanding of current theoretical models and empirical findings in the area of health psychology.
Become knowledgable about current state-of-the-art health psychology interventions.
Lehrmethodik inkl. Einsatz von eLearning-Tools
The focus of this course is to examine the complex interplay between physical health and psychosocial processes. The evidence for health psychological applications in the context of specific physical illnesses will be reviewed. In addition, empirically-supported behavioral interventions which improve psychological health, physical health, and life quality among patients coping with medical illnesses will be discussed.

Due to COVID restrictions, the exam will not be held in person as typically done for this course. This means the exam will change to an open book exam instead and include a mixed format of questions. This will be described in the lecture and review session.
