Course Information
Teaching methodology including the use of eLearning tools

The theoretical explanations are supplemented by practical examples.
Course content
Central issues of Corporate Finance & Capital Budgeting are taken up and discussed. The lecture covers capital budgeting techniques as well as various types of financing such as equity and debt financing.
Subjects:
- Time value of money, net present value, annuities, perpetuities
- NPV with investment opportunities, payback, internal rate of return,
- Investment timing, replacement decisions
- Short term financing, working capital line of credit, trade credit
- Long term financing, raising equity and debt capital
- Leasing

The exam will be a moodle-hosted, online and open-book:
- Online exams will be available in moodle on
- April 29 2021, 14:00 - 15:05 CEST
- May 27 2021, 14:00 - 15:05 CEST
- June 25 2021, 14:00 - 15:05 CEST
- The exams will be open book, feel free to use lecture slides, textbooks, ...
- The exam will be available for 65 minutes, there is a time limit of 60 minutes to complete the test
- You will be presented 30 statements from a questions-pool, they will appear in a random order for each student
- Answer the statements true or false (in german: wahr / falsch)
- Each correct answer counts one credit
- Grading:
- 15-18 correct answers: 4
- 19-22 correct answers: 3
- 23-26 correct answers: 2
- 27-30 correct answers: 1
