Intended learning outcomes
Die Absolvent_innen sind in der Lage, einen Text nicht nur zu verstehen, sondern selbst genauer zu erläutern, eigene Textkommentare zu verfassen, die sich – je nach Art des Textes – zwischen "neopositivistischer" Erläuterung und "hermeneutischer" Auslegung bewegen. Dies trägt in der Regel zur Qualität der Seminar- und Abschlussarbeiten bei.

Didaktik: Je nach Abschnitt des Seminars werden unterschiedliche didaktische Zugangsweisen gewählt: close reading, Interpretation und Textkommentar; systematische und historische Analyse; eingehende Diskussion ausgewählter Themen und philosophischer Zugangsweisen zur Anthropologie.
Course content
Dieses Seminar ist teilweise als Lektüreseminar, teilweise als Forschungsseminar konzipiert. Es werden ausgewählte Texte der philosophischen Anthropologie gelesen. Einer kurzen Einführung zur Thematik (Was ist der Mensch? Was ist Anthropologie?) sowie zur Textauswahl (Wieso diese Autor_innen?) folgt die Lektüre und Diskussion von Textausschnitten folgender Autor_innen: Kant, Lévi-Strauss, Arendt, Castoriadis. Es geht nicht darum, möglichst viel gemeinsam zu lesen, sondern zentrale Fragen der philosophischen Anthropologie so genau wie möglich zu vertiefen und Kommentar- sowie Interpretationstechniken anhand dieser Thematik zu erlernen.
Der letzte Teil des Seminars widmet sich der eigenen Seminararbeit: Wie verfasse ich eine philosophisch-anthropologische wissenschaftliche Arbeit? Dazu wird nicht nur die erlernte Kommentar- und Interpretationstechnik beachtet, sondern auch die Frage nach den unterschiedlichen Methoden der sozial- und kuturwissenschaftlichen Anthropologie und die nach der philosophischen Anthropologie als einer sich ständig verändernden Frage nach dem „Was“ des Menschen als Gattungswesen sui generis. Diskutiert werden hier auch die Fragen nach der Themenwahl bzw. der Formulierung der Fragestellung, ihre Beantwortung, Zugangsweisen, Literaturauswahl (Primär- und Sekundärliteratur), etc.

Im Vorfeld ist der Text „Rasse und Geschichte“ von Claude Lévy-Strauss zu lesen, in: Claude Lévi-Strauss, Strukturale Anthropologie II, Frankfurt 1969, Suhrkamp, er wird ab ca. 10.02. im Moodle-Kurs hochgeladen
