Intendierte Lernergebnisse
Students will learn about translation theory and its history & relevant terminology relating to the field; be able to identify and analyze translation problems/errors (specifically between German and English); and be able to describe the translation process and the role of the translator.
Lehrmethodik inkl. Einsatz von eLearning-Tools
- Lecture (synchronous and asynchronous lectures will take place if in-person teaching is not allowed)
- In-class group discussion
- Moodle-based assignments/discussion
- Sample practice translation tasks
Recordings or supplementary explanations will be made available as warranted. If need be, classes may take place online, which means you should have, at a minimum, a device with a stable internet connection, a microphone and headset, and (should it be needed) a camera. These will facilitate any eLearning sessions that may be needed in this course.

All required reading and viewing materials will be provided on Moodle. A reader of course texts will also be made available via the ÖH printing service (price of the reader TBA).
