Online attendance (via Microsoft Teams) at the kick-off session on the 1st of March (6pm) is compulsory, as the basics of the course will be presented, and important administrational “stuff” will be tackled. Students can register for the course up until 23:59pm on the 28th of Feb.
So please download the Teams App to your PCs, laptops, smartphones etc if you are not already using the Teams App...
The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of various forms of prose, poetry and drama, as well as introducing students to the notion of text analysis. Students will become familiar with terminology and the historical development of storytelling and English literature.
We shall also become dab hands using the tools to interpret and analyze texts. Students will also be given a forum in which to develop their presentation skills, as each student will present a 15min Powerpoint on relevant literary terms.
Please be aware that I will often use the full 2hrs from to accommodate technical issues, presentations and workshops...
