Diese Lehrveranstaltung dient der Erprobung, praxisorientierten Anwendung und der Erweiterung der im Studium bisher erworbenen Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten
Teaching methodology
Das Projektsemester ist ein geführtes, von einer Universitätslehrerin bzw. einem Universitätslehrer betreutes Projektpraktikum, in dem ein abgeschlossenes, vorab definiertes Projekt bearbeitet wird.
Es werden 4 Varianten angeboten:
- Volles Projektsemester (Praxissemester, 16 Wochen, a 40h) an in einem in-oder ausländischen Unternehmen, einer öffentlichen Verwaltungseinrichtung, einer Non-Profit-Organisation oder einer außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtung.
- Volles Projektsemester (Forschungssemester, 16 Wochen, a 40h) an einem der Institute der Technischen Fakultät der AAU.
- Verkürztes Projektsemester (Praxissemester, 9 Wochen, a 40h) an in einem in-oder ausländischen Unternehmen, einer öffentlichen Verwaltungseinrichtung, einer Non-Profit-Organisation oder einer außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtung.
- Verkürztes Projektsemester (Forschungssemester, 9 Wochen, a 40h) an einem der Institute der Technischen Fakultät der AAU.
Course content
Die Inhalte sind abhängig von der gewählten Projektarbeit, haben aber jedenfalls Informatikbezug.

Intended learning outcomes
The goal of this course is the practical application and training of skills and knowledge aquired in the study program so far.
Teaching methodology
The project semester is a practical course supervised by a professor in which students have to work on a complete project with defined requirements and goals.
There are 4 variants offered:
- Full project semester (“Praxissemester”, 16 weeks à 40 hours) at a company, a government agency, a non-profit organization, or a research institution outside of the university
- Full project semester (“Forschungssemester”, 16 weeks à 40 hours) at one of the departments of the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Klagenfurt
- Short project semester (“Praxissemester”, 9 weeks à 40 hours) at a company, a government agency, a non-profit organization, or a research institution outside of the university
- Short project semester (“Forschungssemester”, 9 weeks à 40 hours) at one of the departments of the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Klagenfurt
