Intendierte Lernergebnisse

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

- actively and accurately use the business-specific vocabulary and phrases that have been studied in class and at home

- deepened their understanding of, and ability to produce, a range of grammatical structures.

- follow and contribute extensively to a meeting on a pre-assigned topic

- negotiate effectively, using a range of phrases studied both in class and at home.

Group work, extensive self-study, vocabulary assessments, speaking and writing tasks and assessments.

Inhalt/e

Skills that will be developed throughout this course are:

ability to participate confidently and effectively in a meeting
ability to negotiate
writing skills (awareness of formal/informal differences)
reading skills (case studies, news articles)
grammar (including tense and aspect, prepositions and relative clauses)
subject-specific vocabulary (with a focus on phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions)

Topics that will be covered throughout this course include:

leadership
discrimination
intercultural communication
marketing

IMPORTANT: due to the ongoing global pandemic, this course will be delivered online. Therefore, students must have access to a working microphone and camera.
