Course Information

Intended learning outcomes

The students will learn about the structure and role of the macronutrients, and how the energy trapped in these can be released and used by the body during rest and physical activity at different intensities.

Similarly, they will learn about the function of minerals and vitamins, and their requirements for physical activity.

The students will also learn how energy consumption is assessed and quantified, and will receive some basic information about training strength and endurance in general population, athletes and elderly
