Intended learning outcomes

In vielen Bereichen der Wirtschaftswissenschaften wie etwa Marketing oder auf den Finanzmärkten werden regelmäßig Daten gesammelt, um Theorien über die dahinter liegenden Prozesse, wie etwa Hypothesen über die Kaufentscheidung von Konsumenten, zu überprüfen. Diese Umsetzung von Daten in wissenschaftliche Theorien erfolgt unter Einsatz von Instrumenten, die man als statistische Methoden bezeichnet. Die Lehrveranstaltung Methoden II: Statistik soll ein Grundwissen über statistische Methoden zur Analyse von univariaten und multivariaten Datensätzen vermitteln. Beispiele für solche Methoden sind Schätzung von Anteils- und Erwartungswerten, Varianzanalyse, Kontingenztafeln und lineare Regression. Im KS werden die Vorlesungsinhalte mit eigenständig zu erarbeitenden Aufgaben / Case Studies vertieft und mit Hilfe der Statistiksoftware R angewandt.

Online (eventuell auch offline) Präsenztermine mit aktiven und passiven Anteilen. Unterstützung durch eLearning-Materialien. Eigenständiges Bearbeiten von Übungsaufgaben / Case Studies.

Prior knowledge expected

Schulwissen auf Maturaniveau, inbesondere in den Bereichen Grundrechnungsarten, Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung und Wahrscheinlichkeitsverteilungen (Binomial- und Normalverteilung). Vorausgehende Absolvierung der LV "Methoden I: Mathematik" sinnvoll.
