Course Information
Intended learning outcomes
The students will be able to understand the functionalities of the main smart building technologies. Moreover, the students will learn appropriate approaches and methods, identify and characterize problems within the intelligent building system. The students will be able to evaluate the outcomes, and communicate developed solutions.

Oral examinations: 30%
To complete the course the project and the oral examination must be positively completed.
Course content
The Internet of things technologies are helping the properties owners and managers to enable systems that deliver more accurate and useful information for improving operations and provide the best experience for tenants. This course focuses on the interaction between technology, energy, people and nature in the context of smart buildings. Moreover, it describes the novel technologies and procedures available for this environment.

Students have to develop a project. The topic of the project is assigned based on background and interests of a student.
