Implementing a Low Cost Meteorological Data Network

Simulation studies of environmental data usually need some meteorological data as input parameter. This is mostly available only on a rather dense grid of stations which may or may not cover the area of interest. Furthermore the available data is often only presented in some aggregated form. For this reason it can be necessary to implement an own network of monitoring stations. The challenges and details of such an implementation are covered in this talk.
