| Beschreibung: | The andragogic/pedagogic interest focuses on the lifeworld (Husserl 1986) and the mundane aspects of adult education and learning in rural areas. In the presentation I will consider the popularity of folk crafts and folk culture in the Alpine region (Carinthia, Austria and South Tyrol, Italy) and the associated social practices which are phenomena or expressions of counter-hegemonic acting. Popularity in this context means “being of the people” according to Fiske (quoted by Winter & Mikos 2007). |
