Sustainability and digitalization are two central discourses in entrepreneurship research, but only recently have they been discussed jointly. Scholars call for an integration of the previously disconnected research stream to investigate the transformative potential of digitalization to advance sustainable development. However, little effort has been devoted to such an integration leading to a fragmented field of research with a lack of consolidated knowledge. This article conducts a systematic review of the literature to unravel the state-of-the-art of digital sustainable entrepreneurship. We derive common themes of current work and discuss in the light of promising theoretical perspectives to contribute to the integration of sustainability and digitalization in entrepreneurship research and offer promising avenues for future research.
