Untertitel: | A Model for Responsible, Safe and Secure Robotic Systems Engineering |
Kurzfassung: | As the prevalence and variety of robotic systems increases, the safety and security of these systems needs to be considered to ensure their responsible application. Several stakeholders are involved in the robotics engineering process, and thus, an overarching perspective is necessary to understand the dynamics of safety and security in robotics. The research project SEEROSE addresses aspects that foster or hinder safety and security in robotics in an interdisciplinary manner, investigating the issue from an ethical, psychological, technical, and economic perspective. The preliminary findings present robots as complex actor-networks, interconnecting on the individual, corporate, collective, material and immaterial level, challenging and radically transforming concepts, such as (ethical) responsibility, especially in relation to safety and security. The first results of SEEROSE present strategies and solutions to deal with these challenges, such as modes of ethical engineering, the PREVENT-Model, Principal-Agent Theory, and Automatic Program Repair, e.g., SymDefFix, amongst others. Overall, we derive an overarching research model for responsible, safe and secure robotic systems engineering: The Robotics Safety & Security Stakeholder Cycle. |
