Employability and Lifelong Learning in Technical and Vocational Professions: A Joint Partnership Research Project in Austria and Ethiopia | |
Description: | A cooperative research project in Austria (Universität Klagenfurt) and Ethiopia (Addis Ababa University), funded by OeAD (program: "Cooperation Research Development"), with two research objectives: In this project, gender as a relevant structural category for understanding and analyzing educational success, labor market participation/employability and social justice is taken into consideration. In the “Employability Study”, carried out by the Ethiopian partner, gender is a variable within the survey. The SDG goals include the achievement of gender equality and empowerment of women/girls and ensuring inclusive and equitable education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. So, gender is a relevant category for understanding and analyzing TVET participation and labor market related data within the work of the Austrian partner (educational permeability through/within NQF), amongst others such as class or age. |
