Urgency, Priorities, and Imaginations of the Future - Climate Change Adaptation Policies in Vienna
Description:

This project seeks to trace the concept of urgency and “follow the concept” (Marcus 1995) in various social fields (Wright 2011). It employs a cultural analysis of everyday lives to scrutinize current phenomena, practices, and discourses from multiple perspectives. The project will consist of individual case studies which will each provide an in-depth analysis of the internal logic of urgency, prioritization and future imaginaries in specific social fields.
